The HomeVestors’ office for western North Carolina is owned and operated by Freshwater Affiliated Holdings, LLC. The principals of the company are Scott and Valerie Freshwater.

Scott Freshwater holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Masters of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of North Carolina. He spent five years with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay. He then spent 15 years in commercial real estate, most of the time with The Rouse Company. While with The Rouse Company he served as VP & GM of a major retail project during its $1 billion dollar expansion and was responsible for the company's local & regional, retail leasing division for the Western United States.

Valerie Freshwater holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications/Public Relations from Chapman University. She spent 8 years working in account service on the Pepsi Cola Bottling Group account. She then spent 7 years as the Executive Director of a non-profit housing development corporation. She developed 70 units of HUD housing for seniors and a 22-unit transitional housing development for homeless families. She has spent the last 5 years working in non-profit management consulting. She holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation from the Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP).

Freshwater Affiliated Holdings, LLC is a member of the Better Business Bureau serving Asheville and Western North Carolina, the Henderson County North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Carolinas Real Estate Investor Association (CREIA) and the National Association of Responsible Home Rebuilders and Investors (NARHRI).
